Welcome to Wagon Wheel Orchard, a small family-owned and operated orchard situated on the California and Oregon trails in western rural Johnson County, Kansas, specializing in variety!
We have the world’s most diverse "pick-your-own" orchard filled with an amazing variety of delicious tree fruits - over 1,000 different apples, pears, peaches, cherries, native fruits and exotics. Not to mention the variety of activities for your whole family, school, church, daycare, or organization to enjoy!
If we have a "bumper crop" we may also do some of the picking and have our produce available in our shop, the Trading Post, at roadside stands, local farmers markets and your neighborhood grocer.
Going forward one of our main priorities will be in the preservation and propagation of many of our heirloom apples and pears. Some of the trees in the orchard may be the sole surviving tree of an old homestead favorite. Please consider having us bench graft some trees for your backyard or farm and preserve these ties to our rich Midwest heritage.
